As my journey unfolds, life has taken me to places all over the world. I am captivated by the skies, plants and landscapes of New Zealand, the changing seasons of Canada, and the rich architectural history of Europe. In my art I include the often missed detail in our natural world. I am beginning to also focus on evidence of human impacts as well. You can find me each morning walking along the Thames River, followed by long days spent in my studio nestled in my century old home in London, Ontario, Canada.
I paint in water based oils on stretched canvas. This provides a durable finish but cuts out the need for harsh solvents so is a more environmentally friendly form of oil painting.
In the autumn of 2016 100% of the money earned from sales of my paintings was donated to charities chosen by the buyers. The following charities received money:
Dignitas International-Aboriginal Health Partners Program
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada
PAWS (People's Animal Welfare Society)
LEAF (Women's Legal Education and Action Fund)
My Sister's Place
Harvest Bible Chapel Food Bank
